Add and organise units
Create unit records, group them into a tree, and copy configuration between units instead of retyping it.
A unit is the property record everything else hangs off — jobs are scheduled against it, rates resolve through it, and channel listings map onto it. Open it from Units → Units.
Create the unit
Only two things are actually required: Unit name (alias) and Status, which is either Active or Inactive. Everything else can be filled in later.
The fields worth completing early are the ones cleaners rely on standing outside the door: Cleaner access code, Supply closet code and Supply closet location, Parking instructions, and the WiFi details. These surface on the job, so a blank or stale access code turns into a phone call.
Check-in and Check-out times drive scheduling. Cleaning duration by cleaner count tells the system how long the unit takes with one cleaner, two, and so on.
Editing behaves differently from creating
The create drawer is a single submit. The edit modal is not — every field saves by itself as you change it, showing a tick or a failure marker beside the control. There is no Save button and no way to abandon a half-made edit by closing the window.
One exception: Unit Name cannot be edited inline in the grid. Hover the cell and use the expand icon to open the unit.
Group units into a tree
Unit groups nest, so you can run Region → Building → unit rather than one flat list. A group carries an Area — BUILDING, NEIGHBORHOOD, REGION, or UNIT — and groups marked as regions are what other screens filter by.
Assign units from the group’s own multi-select, from the unit’s Unit group field, or by dragging rows in the grid.
Copy instead of retyping
Setting up a building of near-identical units is the case Copy from a unit exists for. Open the row menu on the unit you want to write into, then pick the unit to copy from — the confirmation spells out the direction, which is worth reading, since it is easy to get backwards.
Deleting a unit group does not delete the units inside it, and does not warn you about them either — they are quietly re-parented to no group at all. If rates or filters depended on that group, they stop matching the moment it goes. Move the units somewhere deliberate before deleting the group.
