Set up a recurring job schedule

Create a repeating clean for a unit, understand the cadence options, and manage the jobs it generates.

Updated Aug 24, 2026 Version 1.0 Schedule

Recurring schedules generate jobs for a unit on a repeating cadence — a weekly common-area clean, a monthly deep clean, an inspection every fourteen days. They live under Jobs managementRecurring Jobs, and can also be started from the Checklists matrix.

Creating a schedule

Press Add recurring job. The first step asks for a Unit — only active units are listed — then Next opens the schedule form, headed Schedule recurring clean…. Fill in:

  1. Cleaning type, which is required. The cleaner will see every checklist mapped to that unit for the type you choose, exactly as on a normally assigned job.
  2. Label (optional), up to 80 characters, for example Morning turn-over.
  3. How often: Daily, Weekly, Monthly or Every N days.
  4. For weekly, tick one or more days under Days of week. For monthly, set Day of month between 1 and 31 — in short months the schedule fires on the last day instead. For Every N days, enter 1 to 365 and optionally a Starting from date.
  5. Time of day (unit local time), which must be 23:58 or earlier.

Assignment currently offers only Unassigned (manager picks). The Specific user and Specific team options are visibly marked coming soon and are disabled. Press Schedule to save.

Reading the list

The table shows Unit, Type, Label, Cadence, Time, Assignment, Next fire, Last fired and Status. Cadence reads as Daily, Weekly · Mon, Monthly · day 14 or Every 10 day(s). Status is either Active or Paused. Filter with the search box (Search unit, type, or label…) or the cadence dropdown.

Managing generated jobs

Expanding a row lists the jobs the schedule has produced, with columns Date, Group, Type, Label, Time and Status. Occurrence statuses are Active, Cancelled and Superseded. Per occurrence you can:

  • Edit date — opens Change job date, pick a New date and Save; you will get Job moved to <date>.
  • Cancel a single occurrence without touching the rule.
  • Reactivate one you cancelled.

When you create a schedule, a banner reports what was generated immediately, in the form 3 jobs created, 2 already existed, 1 skipped. Anything not covered up front is filled in later by a background process, which the banner says outright with background process will fill gaps.

A recurring rule cannot be edited once created — there is no update path in the product. To change a cadence, a time or a cleaning type you must delete the schedule and create a new one, and deleting is not neutral: the confirmation Delete all removes every scheduled recurring job that has not yet been completed. Cancel individual occurrences instead if you only need to skip a few dates.
