Connect Hostaway and map listings

Connect a Hostaway account with a token, map each listing to a unit, and read the sync signals correctly.

Updated Aug 24, 2026 Version 1.0 Settings & integrations

A channel connection brings reservations in so cleans can be generated against real arrivals and departures. Hostaway is the integration that is live today — the Airbnb and VRBO buttons on the Channel Manager page are visible but disabled.

Connect the account

Open Channel Manager → Channels, go to Hostaway, and use Connect existing account. You supply a Label and a Token — there is no OAuth handshake, so get the token from Hostaway first. Tick Sync data after submit to pull data immediately.

If a connection already exists, the token field stays read-only until you tick Override token. That is the guard against replacing a working credential by accident.

Map every listing

Listing Mapping is where the real work is. Each listing shows as Mapped or Unmapped, and every listing needs to point at exactly one unit.

  • An unmapped listing means bookings arrive with nowhere to go, so no clean is generated.
  • Listings with children can be mapped one at a time or in bulk with Map child units.

If a unit you expect is missing from the picker, it is almost certainly already mapped to another listing — the dropdown hides units that are spoken for. Check the existing mapping before creating a duplicate unit.

Read the sync signals honestly

Refresh data triggers a manual pull and is throttled to once every thirty seconds. The only freshness indicator is the Last sync at label.

There is no sync-status or error badge anywhere on this screen — a failed backend sync looks exactly like one that has not run yet. After connecting, wait, refresh, and then verify a couple of known bookings against the unit calendar rather than assuming silence means success. Note also that there is no disconnect button: the only destructive action available is unmapping individual listings.
